From first meeting Mr White I felt totally confident in his care. Mr White broke some terrible news to me however his professionalism and expertise put me at ease. Mr White went into great detail about my condition and the path he would follow. Keeping me informed every step of the way. Although a lot to take in Mr White used vocabulary that was understandable and when he did use medical “jargon” he then went on to explain what they meant. He also went on to give me time to digest what he had told me before discussing matters further. Mr White was positive and reassuring on every meeting we had. And like wise on our telephone calls. When I was on ward Mr White visited regularly and was as I have stated as above professional and reassuring. Mr White was definitely on the ball - he liaised with other departments promptly and again kept me Informed at every stage after my care with him had ended. And been passed on. This surgeon has definitely given me hope in a dire situation. I would like to thank him for his care yet I feel a thank -you would not be sufficient for the level of care I received from him. I am totally in awe of this man. What a man. Maria Huntington and Family.

Mr Barrie White performed an operation today two years ago to remove a benign tumour from inside my spine. Mr White was a kind caring Surgeon who has saved me from paralysis and I have yearly MRI scans to keep a check all is well. I have been on walking holidays and have completed a 21 mile sponsored walk, so thank you so much Barry

I cannot say enough about Mr White I have been a patient of his since 2012. He has performed two operations on my spine for spinal stenosis. Mr White is a kind and compassionate doctor and always puts you at ease when visiting his clinic. He listens to you and explains things in a way you can understand. I feel very lucky to be under his care and would highly recommend Mr White. A wonderful doctor Christina Selby

A great neurosurgeon, I am under Mr white at the minute for my care and he is absolutely fantastic and dealing with my questions, getting me the right support and advising me on the best route for decompression surgery for my chiari malformation. Mr white cares for his patients and it really shows. Anyone would be lucky to get him as neurosurgeon. He is one of the good ones.

My daughter who has learning disabilities.has been under Mr Barrie White's team since 2017, I honestly cannot praise him enough keeping Us up-to-date every step of the way ensuring my daughter has had the best possible care He is very understanding & compassionate we are now waiting to see if my daughter needs a third operation spinal but he is now taking my daughter's case to his colleagues who have a special interest in this kind of difficult decision unsure if it's the correct operation as it can have uncertain benefits &, Risks. I truly appreciate everything Mr white has done so far . Thank goodness for the NHS
